Abstract
The low level of financial literacy among university students poses a serious challenge to achieving economic resilience in the younger generation. This study aims to develop an integrative model for embedding financial literacy through an interdisciplinary approach within higher education curricula to enhance students’ preparedness for effective financial decision-making. A quantitative method employing Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) is used to analyze the relationships among Financial Literacy (FL), Interdisciplinary Education (IE), Student Preparedness (SP), and Socioeconomic Context (SC) as a moderating variable. The theoretical foundation draws upon Human Capital Theory and Behavioral Finance Theory. The expected findings indicate that interdisciplinary financial literacy integration has a positive and significant impact on students’ financial readiness, with socioeconomic context influencing the magnitude of this relationship. The study’s outcomes are expected to inform educational policy and curriculum design, promoting sustainable financial competence and strengthening long-term economic resilience among future graduates.
